1. General
At HANNOVER MESSE 2024, Deutsche Messe will be conducting paid physical guided tours to exhibitors on specific current topics for visitors.

1.1 Physical Guided Tour
Trained guides lead groups of trade visitors and interested trade fair visitors in groups of 1 up to a maximum of 25 participants and up to 6 topic-relevant exhibitors.
A guided tour lasts approximately 90-120 minutes and is conducted in English. It is subject to a fee for visitors.

This gives the exhibitors visited the opportunity to specifically address specific target groups. The brand and product can be presented effectively in a 10-minute presentation and made precisely tangible for the target group.

1.2
Deutsche Messe puts together the contact points for the Guided Tour based on topic-specific considerations and due discretion.
Depending on demand, a physical guided tour will be carried out up to 8 times for each topic. When there is less demand from visitors, fewer guided tours are carried out.
The participation costs per exhibitor are independent of the number of guided tours carried out on the selected topic and the number of tour participants.

The exhibitor can select the participation package in the HANNOVER MESSE shop for their participation in the guided tour. The scope of services of the participation package can be found in the product description.

1.3
The exhibitor involved undertakes to provide a contact person to present their tour-relevant topic for every guided tour carried out by Deutsche Messe during the event and other themed and special tours for delegations and business groups.

1.4 Provision of AddLeads for collecting participant data
Part of the “Guided Tour” participation package is the provision of the “Software AddLeads” service. This gives the exhibitor the opportunity to collect and manage data from participants in the Guided Tour, provided that the participant in question agrees to the exhibitor recording their data accordingly .

Further information about the “AddLeads” service can be found in Section 7

2. Order and conclusion of contract
Exhibitors have the opportunity to register as a contact point as part of a guided tour.
Binding registration is made via the event's HANNOVER MESSE shop and a presentation description is sent, which explains in 450 characters what the exhibitor would like to present as part of the guided tour.

From mid-March 2024, Deutsche Messe will put together the guided tours based on the existing registrations. The selection is generally made according to the “first come, first serve” principle, with the primary aim of ensuring a broad and comprehensive representation of the topic of the tour. Exhibitors whose offerings do not fit the topic of the Guided Tour cannot be taken into account.

With the confirmation of participation from Deutsche Messe, the exhibitor's participation contract in the Guided Tour is concluded.
There is no entitlement to be considered as part of a guided tour.
The registration/confirmation of participation cannot be transferred to third parties.
Withdrawal from the registration or withdrawal/termination of the contract on the part of the exhibitor is excluded.

The obligation to pay only arises with confirmation of participation.

3. Copyrights / responsibility for content and data
With regard to all content of its presentation originating from the exhibitor, the exhibitor is solely responsible for ensuring that no third-party rights are violated. In this respect, he releases Deutsche Messe, including its employees or vicarious agents, from all claims by third parties or authorities that are asserted against Deutsche Messe in connection with the content he has provided.

4. Prices
Unless otherwise stated, prices are net prices in euros plus VAT. VAT at the applicable tax rate. Billing takes place via the additional costs bill.

5. Provision of services and reservation of withdrawal
Deutsche Messe reserves the right to make changes to the content and timing of the Guided Tours program.
Deutsche Messe is entitled to withdraw from the contract if not enough exhibitors register as a contact point for a guided tour topic, so that carrying out the guided tour does not make sense in terms of content. She is also entitled towithdraw from the contract if, due to a lack of demand from visitors and exhibitors as a whole, the Guided Tours program cannot be carried out economically and in terms of content, or if there are other reasons for which Deutsche Messe is not responsible that make it impossible to carry out the event. In this case, it will notify the exhibitor immediately, no later than 5 working days before the start of the event, and immediately refund any payment already made. Further claims by the exhibitor are excluded unless Deutsche Messe or its service providers are guilty of gross negligence or intent load lies.

Deutsche Messe is not liable for the achievement of the communicative goals pursued by the exhibitor by entering into this contract.

6.    Use of AddLeads software for exhibitors of a guided tour
6.1  Description Lead Management AddLeads software
The “Lead Management AddLeads Software” service offers the option of defining electronic lead forms using a web portal and recording and managing data from stand visitors on mobile devices via an app during the trade fair. The address data can be recorded by scanning the barcodes of the registered tickets.

Lead capture is carried out using an APP on mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. Lead forms can be configured according to your own wishes, user data can be managed and leads can be evaluated via a web-based portal.

6.2  Hardware requirements
The exhibitor must have a smartphone or tablet with internet access (prerequisite: iOS or Android operating system - current release or the two previous versions). In order to fully utilize the functionality of the AddLeads APP, smartphones and tablets must be equipped as follows:

  • WLAN and/or UMTS module including internet connection
  • Photo camera for scanning the tickets
  • The most powerful battery possible
  • Email client set up
  • Ability to record audio

6.3  Provision of Lead Management AddLeads software
Approximately 4 weeks before the start of the trade fair, the exhibitor will receive a link to the web portal of the lead management AddLeads software (=Leadportal) as well as the access data for the lead portal by email to the email address provided on the order form.
The exhibitor can use these access data to create a user. To do this, the exhibitor provides the email address of the corresponding user. The user then receives an email with a link to register and download the APP in the respective APP store. Access to the AddLeads APP is only possible for registered users.
After the trade fair has ended, the lead portal can be used for evaluations and exports for four weeks. The lead portal then switches off automatically and all data there is deleted by the system.

6.4 Functional scope of lead management AddLeads software
The main functions of the AddLeads APP are the recording function of read-in data, the address function for sorting the data by name, company, address, email address in German and English, the help function in German and English as well as the questionnaire function to support the recording of requested visitor data.

6.5 Note visitor data
The user of AddLeads (orderer) undertakes to use the data collected by him exclusively for his own purposes, taking into account the legal provisions, in particular the GDPR. In this respect, the user releases Deutsche Messe or the organizer from all third-party claims.

The visitor cannot be obliged to pass on his personal data to the user by scanning the tickets and can refuse this collection. To protect the personal data of registered visitors, the user is obliged to delete the data provided to him in individual cases upon request from the visitor or the organizer/Deutsche Messe. The organizer / Deutsche Messe assumes no liability for the accuracy and completeness of the data recorded as part of visitor registration.

6.6 Malfunctions of the Lead Management AddLeads Software
Complaints regarding malfunctions of the Lead Management AddLeads software must be reported immediately before or during the event to addleads@eventit.ag. First-time complaints after the event can no longer be taken into account.

7.   Limitation of liability Deutsche Messe AG

7.1
The liability of Deutsche Messe AG, its legal representatives or vicarious agents is limited to damages that are attributable to inadequate quality of the rental items or to intentional or grossly negligent violation of the obligations assumed by it. This also applies in the event of operational disruptions or other events affecting the exhibitor's plans, in particular disruptions, errors, delays or other obstacles to performance that occur when content is transmitted via the Internet. Furthermore, Deutsche Messe AG assumes no liability for access and availability of the Internet. In particular, availability may be temporarily limited due to maintenance work or other reasons. Liability for the consequences of limited availability - regardless of type and for whatever reason - is excluded.

7.2
However, the above exclusion of liability for slight negligence does not apply in the event of a breach of such obligations, the fulfillment of which enables the proper execution of the contract and on whose compliance the purchaser can regularly rely. In this case, however, the liability of Deutsche Messe, its legal representatives or vicarious agents is limited to damages that are typically expected to arise within the scope of the subject matter of the contract.

7.3
The above limitations and exclusions of liability also do not apply in the event of injury to life, body or health of a person.
