1. Contract 
The order for a modular stand is placed online via the Shop and is binding. The contract for the rental of the modular stand is deemed concluded upon Deutsche Messe’s stand construction partner issuing an order confirmation via e-mail.
1.1 Upon handover, the exhibitor shall verify the proper condition, safety for use, and completeness of the rented items. By accepting the items, the exhibitor acknowledges that these have been provided free of defects, unless he immediately submits a written notice of defects to Deutsche Messe.
1.2 Delivery of the rental modular stand, ordered in due time, shall be effected sufficiently early to ensure that the ordered modular stand is available at the commencement of the event. The exhibitor expressly consents to this procedure.
1.3 If the stand area is unattended at the time of delivery, the rental modular stand shall be deemed properly handed over once it has been erected on the exhibition stand area. From this point onward, the exhibitor bears the risk of damage to or loss of the rental modular stand. 
1.4 Deutsche Messe shall be under no obligation to verify the authority or identity of the persons present at the stand upon delivery of the rented modular stand. 
1.5 Delivery dates and other agreements shall only be effective if confirmed in writing by Deutsche Messe. 

2. Additional stand equipment
The basic configuration of the ordered rental modular stand can be supplemented with additional equipment elements, subject to a separate fee-based order. The technical descriptions of the modular stands and additional stand equipment as well as design examples can be found in our brochure and in the Shop. Cross-type ordering of additional fittings is not possible.
We reserve the right to make minor technical and color deviations from the information in the brochure/Shop and to use bracing elements to ensure the stability and safety of the stand.
Please order the connections of the stand to the technical supply and disposal networks in the corresponding service categories.

3. Liability of the exhibitor
3.1 Modular stands and fittings are to be returned in the condition as received. They may not be pasted over, nailed, painted, altered, or damaged. The exhibitor shall treat the rented modular stand with due care.
3.2 The exhibitor is liable for any loss or damage of the rented items regardless of cause. The exhibitor’s liability for damage to or loss of the rented items begins upon acceptance and ends upon collection by Deutsche Messe or its authorized representatives. The rented furniture will be collected in the evening or night after the close of the event. If the exhibitor wishes to use these items beyond the end of the event, this must be clarified in advance with Deutsche Messe.
We recommend you take out an exhibition insurance policy to cover all rented items. A flat rate of four times the rental price can be taken as the insurance value.

4. Liability of Deutsche Messe
4.1 Deutsche Messe shall be liable in cases of intent or gross negligence. In the event of a merely negligent breach of duty by Deutsche Messe or its vicarious agents, liability shall be limited to foreseeable damages typical of this type of contract. Liability shall be entirely excluded in cases of slight negligence in the breach of non-material contractual obligations.
4.2 The aforementioned limitations of liability shall not apply in cases of personal injury, health damage, or loss of life for which Deutsche Messe can be held responsible.

5. Terms of payment, advance payment, final invoice
Along with the advance deposit on services, there is a deposit payment on modular stands in the full amount (100%) of the basic modular stand rental price. This payment is due upon receipt of the modular stand order confirmation from Deutsche Messe. For organizational reasons, the additional services will be invoiced separately approx. 5 weeks after the end of the event.

6. Concluding provisions
These terms and conditions are governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany to the exclusion of the provisions of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction shall be Hannover.

Unless otherwise stated, prices are net prices plus statutory VAT.

Only the prices shown on the order form or order screen on the day of the order apply. These are also listed in the confirmation of receipt of the order, which the exhibitor automatically receives immediately after placing his order.

Rental price per square meter or unit price.

If, after the exhibitor has already submitted his binding order or the contract has already been concluded, Deutsche Messe exceptionally grants cancellation at the exhibitor's instigation, the exhibitor shall pay a flat-rate cancellation fee. The level of such cancellation fee shall be determined based on the date of receipt by Deutsche Messe of the written notice of cancellation, and the total order value, as follows:

• four months before opening of the trade fair or earlier: 10 % of the order value;
• later than four but not less than three months before opening of the trade fair: 25 % of the order value;
• later than three but not less than two months before opening of the trade fair: 50 % of the order value;
• later than two months before the first day of the trade fair: 100 % of the order value.
